Best Album Title...
...of 2006, or ever?
No, not Fox Confessor Brings The Flood. Although I love Neko Case's work with The New Pornographers, I just couldn't quite get into her solo album based on all the sample bits I heard. Do love the cover, though.
Anyway, the real Number One album name of the year, courtesy of our old friends from Hoboken, Yo La Tengo:
Most fans, me included, found the last album Summer Sun to be a bit too mellow and downbeat. The new one sprinkles in some good-old wailing wall of guitar distortion to appease the philistines even if one gets the feeling that the band is looking to move on to a new schtick.
The best part of that title is that you can use it as the answer to almost any question.
